Illini Minion Concept

Concept: I want to create a team on Minions for the Illini Football team. Each character will reflect the various personalities in football Boiled down to steriotypical ideologies of the positioned played:
kind of like the super bowl shuffle:
Quarterback: Cocky slick and ladies man: Jim McMahon
Line backer: big, gruff and a strong and "dumb" Refrigerator Perry
Running back: smooth slick and fast: Walter Payton

I want the characters to basically be like bobble heads, Big helmets, with caricatures for faces. Also a little like Marvin the Martian.

Harry Marks is considered the Father of broadcast Graphics. He had a typography background and began working for ABC and CBS as Vice President and Creative Directors for on air promotions in the mid 60's. He initiated a move from animation stands to computer generated graphics and inso doing changed what we see on television.
Here are a few early examples of his work when he would be utilizing hand set typography, Animations stands and optical printers.

ABC Movie of the Week 1969
The inspiration for this title sequence came after a meeting with Doug Trumbull. He had just completed working onthe film 2001 Space Odyssey and wanted to show Harry his work. The Stargate sequence for the film had such an impact on harry he was inspired to try to achieve that level of effect with titles. This event proved successful as you can see in the movie of the Week titles. From this point on Harry had a new mantra to explore Scale, and flying through objects. he became fascinated with trying to makw things feel huge and break the limits of the small screen of the 13" television.
